The Last Log, 5/18-6/2

The PB's keep a daily log of class events. I try not to edit what they write (though there are times I really, really want to), except to protect privacy or feelings. When time permits the students take the pictures, process and upload them, and put them into the text.

Talent Show Practice

Good morning, everyone! Today is Monday. I know you don't want to come to school, but you have to learn. O.K, I am going to tell you the PB (Polar Bear) weather today. The PB weather is that is raining outside right now, and that is is going to rain all this week, well that's what the news said. I hope the news people are right, because I don't want to get you girls or boys wrong, and tell you the wrong weather for this week. Mr. Roemer said "I hope it doesn't rain next week, because thats the week we go to Fort Desoto, and people don't want to get all wet, and also have to leave. People are doing their work, and when they come in they are turning in their HW (Homework), and also getting to their work so they don't have to do it later. We have two math worksheets, but one is CW (Classwork) Extra credit work. Mr. Roemer is asking people if they have their HW, because they are in the classroom, and if they don't have their HW they should be outside. But I don't know how thats going to work because it's raining outside, and then the people are going to get wet.

Instead of Ranger Muffin and her sidekick PLuto today I am going to tell you what we will be doing. O.K,

Wednesday, May 20: Fifth Grade Skating Party, $8.00, 11:00 p.m., - 1.00 p.m.

Friday, May 29: Talent Show

Mr. Roemer has been walking outside with the umbrella to walk people back so they don't get wet in the rain. Now he is back and he is trying to redo some stuff on his computer, because his computer crashed. We have to work on the computers for right now. We are trying to finish putting the money in for the Skating Party. So I am going to go work on my letter to the new polar bears, who are going to be here next year. Right now Mr. Roemer is going to go over the rules for the Skating field trip. Also Mr. Roemer is going over the PB Weekly telling us what we need to know like don't come to school on Monday because it's Memorial day. We need Fort Desoto food because we need to start packing . Some people are going to bring in their stuff tomorrow because we need to pack, and get ready. Thats all that we need to do, and also I am going to tell you that people better do good at Fort Desoto, and at the Skating field trip, or else they are going to have to sit in time out, and not have fun. That will stink.

Now here is a short story by Lunie.
Hi my name is Lunie, and today I am going to write a story about me. The once was a girl named Lunie, and she was born and raised in India. When she was born she was like a gift, because her mother had not been able to have kids because of her weight, but she had Lunie, and she was a gift. Lunie was raised in a wealthy family, she always had the biggest parties and all the finest and nicest clothes, and she was an only child so she did not have to fight over stuff, and was basically spoiled rotten. But when she got older she changed, she wanted to help the good an d give to charities and good natured things. She went to college to be a pediatrician and received her PHD. Then she moved from India to America. And she met Mr. Roemer when he brought his kids in for a check up. One day she came to our school for checkups for all the kids, and that day is today and she is here today. Well actually I am here today, I was writing in third person, which is like my favorite part. Thats all for the story today. I hope you liked it, and also I hope you can write a story too.

Right now I am going to tell you that Mr. Roemer is talking about the talent show and how we have to dress. This is how we have to dress. We have to dress like a janitor, and Mr. Roemer said "You supposed to look different, and have ugly clothes on." I am going to tell you don't be scared on what you are wearing because the other people in your class might be wearing it too, also I am going to tell you don't be scared when you go up on stage because they are all of your friends, and also because they go to your school. That's all that Mr. Roemer talked about for the talent show. I am going to tell you that the talent show is on the 29th, of May, and it's on a Friday. Speaking of the talent show today we are going to practice today in the classroom, because people have to go to the multipurpose room for P.E today. We are going to have to move the desk, and then we are going to practice. Well, I am going to go and practice. Bye! Bye! Bye! We are back from doing Mime Troup practice. We did it in class, because people were already in the Multipurpose Room. We practiced all the acts, except for Stuck in the Middle. So it was pretty easy, if we just practice a little more, than we would be the perfect Mime Troup.

Now we are just on the computer. Most people are doing their Bio Poems. After that, you should do your other poem. Then when you are finished with all that, you can work on Dear New PB's. I am pretty sure that is for the second graders. So onto other things. Also, other people are doing their 50 capitals tests, because the final test is on May 22nd. After you are done with all that, you can work on your worksheet. I mean your math worksheet. That is just classwork, when you are finished with everything. We also have a homework math worksheet, but Mr. Roemer changed his mind, and told the class not to do it yet.That is all for now Polar Bears, I will tune in with you later! Bye! I am back, most people now, are just doing their Dear New PB's. It is still raining, already it has started flooding in parts of the county. I think there is a little too much rain right now. There is not much to talk about, so I am going to do a little story.

Now here is a story I like to call "Duh! Big Aqua Car! It is a short story about this girl, and her house was on flooded. The only way to get in there was by the water department. They could get in there, enough to suck all the water out. At least her house wasn't on fire. It all happened when she was just going to go to the mall to get a few office supplies, for her work. When she came back the whole house was flooded. She thought about how this would happen, and then she fina;Lily found out. It all happened, because she was taking a shower, and forgot to turn the shower off. That wasn't the only thing that happened. She also washed her hands, and forgot to turn the sink off. Then she even went to the bathroom, and used a whole bunch of toilet paper, and it probably clogged up the toilet, so then that flooded too. The whole house was filled with water. She called the water department. They asked just one question to the girl. One of the waterman said "how do we get there?" Then the girl said Duh! Big Aqua Car! That is just a little funny story I always like to put on the log sometimes. Well, I have to go work on my Dear PB's letter, bye!

I am back, and now we are kind of busy. Everyone has to work on their poems, or on their Dear PB letters. Let go of my Egg and dc the dj are packing up the dog room, and they are getting very messy. We are watching the news to see what the weather is going to be like for today. Time is going by fast today, and we are going to go to lunch soon. Since Lmt is not here today, then Duno is going to pass out the name tags today. But not yet, we still have fifteen minutes until it is time to pass them out. Everyone is working great, and they are getting their work done. I will be back in a few minutes, because I have to go check on the dog room people. I am back, and we are still doing the same thing we were doing just a few minutes ago. Some people are talking, but that is okay, because they are getting their work done. We are listening to music, and some people are singing along with it. In the next paragraph I am going to write a poem. The poem is the one that I did for homework last week. Here it is.

Days go by,
Then weeks,
Then months,
And even years,
I still remember,
I remember you working on puzzles,
I remember you driving me to the nearest "Dollar Tree,"
I remember you babysitting me,
I even remember you lying on the hospital bed,
I remember your last moments,
But I was not there to hear your last words,
You slowly faded away,
And then you were gone.

This poem was written by dc the dj. This poem is called "I Remember." Later on you will see another poem, and it will be by dc the dj too. Now it is almost time to go, and we are putting our computers away. We are putting our desks back, so we can eat lunch. We will be back in a little bit. Well actually we are going to watch the news, so I will say good bye now. Good bye! But don't worry we will be back after we eat lunch. Bye! We are back, and now we are dancing. I am going to dance too, so I will be back in a little bit. Bye! I am back, and everyone is still dancing. The music is going off now, and everyone is going to their desk. I don't know what we are going to do next, but I will find out soon. We are going on Moodle, or we are finishing up the math. The math is due today, so everyone should finish that before they do anything else. Some people are on Moodle, and they are working on their dear Polar Bear journal. But a lot of people are working on the math. In the next paragraph I am going to write a story.

This story is going to be about a bake sale. One day, there was a group of kids, and they had nothing to do. It was the middle of the summer, and all of their family vacations had ended already. They thought, and they thought, and they found something to do. They decided to make a tree house. They had a lot of work to do, so they got to work right away. They needed to get wood, and they had to find some old stuff. They went to each of the kids houses, and got a bunch of old stuff. They got old bike seats, old recliners, old sofas, and old sheets. They brought it to one of the kids backyards, and that was where they were going to build the tree house. They asked their parents to get some wood. Well, not some... more like a lot. They got all the supplies, and they began to build. They built shelves, and they built doorways. They also built a bridge to cross the river. Across the river was one of the kids houses. Their parents pitched in, and they got a slide, and they attached that to the tree house. They had ropes, and when it was done, it filled both of the backyards. They were so surprised when it was done. The kids went to the tree house everyday, and they put some food in it. They put in like chips, and stuff that can go outside of a refrigerator. They loved that they had something to do during the summer.

I hope you liked the story. Well, now just about everyone is busy. We are having P.E. in class, and we are just going to continue with what we are doing. The dog room people are just now finishing up, and it doesn't look like anything has changed in there. It is still very messy. A few other kids are cleaning out the coolers. Now the people who are in the talent show, are leaving to go to the talent show practice. We are all busy, and the coach is going to leave in a little bit, because our P.E. time is just about over. Tomorrow the same kids are going to clean out the dog room some more, and maybe one more person is going to help. Since it is almost the end of the year, and Mr. Roemer is going to another class, we are going to be very busy. If you are wondering why we are having P.E. in the class, it is because it is raining, and when it rains we have to have P.E. in class. Usually we do not like to have P.E. in class, because we don't get to go outside and play, but we do like that we can go on the computers. Now here is the other poem by dc the dj. This one is called "The Earth."

I go outside,
I feel the warm breeze,
I smell the fresh roses,
I feel the warm sand,
I breathe in warm air,
It's not the same,
As before,
But we are lucky,
To live on an Earth.

I hope you liked the poem. I did. The kids from the talent show practice are coming in now, and the coach is about to leave. Packing!

Good morning, everyone! Today is Tuesday, you know what that means. We have art today, and lunch, and even P.E. yay! The PB weather for today is that it is raining, and they say it will probably rain all this week. You know what PB stands for and if you don't then I don't know what to tell you. All it stands for is Polar Bears. People are coming in, and I am going to tell you if they have skating money they have to give it to us today so they can go to the skating party tomorrow. You know we are going to art and Mr. Roemer wants us to get a purple. A purple is the best color you can get in art. I am going to tell you all the stages of art below, and you tell me which one you want our class to get today. I don't know what we are going to be doing in art because we are done with dragons. But I think we are going to start a new art project, but then again I don't think we are going to start a new art project because the school year is almost over, and we won't have enough time to finish. We need to finish what we stared.

Purple means: That your class was on task, and they were doing their work.
Orange means: Your class was very talky, and the art teacher has asked your class several times to quite down.
Red means: Your class was just bad, off task, and not listening.

Right now we are listening to music. We are listening to "Please Don't Stop The Music." People are on Moodle, and they are doing their work. They are either studying the states, and capitals for the test this Friday. Tomorrow we are going to the skating party, and if you don't have money then you can't go, also some people are not even going to the skating party because of their behavior. I will tune back i9n with you in a few minutes. I am going to get some of my work settle, and do some of my work so I don't get in trouble. Bye! I am back and I am going to tell you that it is time to go to art. We are back, and now we are going to the carpet for a class meeting. We are talking about the Fort Desoto trip, and what the rules are. There are a lot of rules, and if we don't follow all of them, then we will find ourselves in time out. Today at art we got a purple, which is good. Now everyone is working on Moodle, or on the map. I am going to work on my map real quick, but I will be back in a little bit. Bye!

I am back, and we are going back down to the carpet to talk more about Fort Desoto. I have to be down there too. So I will be back when we are done. We are back, we are now just doing whatever that we are supposed to do. You have to work on your map first, when you are finished with that, you are supposed to work on your math, when you are finished with that, you are just supposed to go on Moodle. Then after you arte done with Moodle, you can either read, or just go on Moodle again. You probably will only be able to finish your homework, because we are about to go to lunch, sorry, we have to go to lunch now actually, so bye! We are back from lunch, and I am going to tell you that people are dancing, and they are having fun. We are listening to L.O.V.E. It goes something like this Lo Lo Lo Lo ve. And that spells love. We went over the rules for Fort Desoto, and Skating Party tomorrow. Tomorrow for skating we have to wear our new year t-shirt. The new year t-shirts so cool. I am now going to do Ranger Muffin and her sidekick PLuto.

Now heres Ranger Muffin and her sidekick PLuto. Today PLuto, and Ranger Muffin went swimming. Today Ranger Muffin and PLuto went to the pool. They were going to go to the pool because the weather people said it was going to be hot, and sunny. Seeing that they listened to the weather people they heard that it was going to be hot and sunny, but then and right that moment they stepped out that door it started to rain. It was like the aqua car. Ranger Muffin and PLuto were mad, and upset. PLuto came up with a(n) idea. PLuto said "Well, why don't we haven fun, and out on our rain clothes, and go outside, and also play in the puddles." Ranger Muffin said "Thats a great idea." So they headed back home, and went to their rooms to change. Ranger Muffin's rain coat was blue, and PLuto's rain coat was green. Ranger Muffin's was blue because that is her favorite color, and PLuto's rain coat is green, because thats PLuto's favorite color. When PLuto and Ranger Muffin got changed they went outside, and played together. They jumped in puddles, they had a contest to see who could find the biggest puddle, and they also had another contest, and that contest was who could find the golden rubber band first, and that person was PLuto. PLuto was happy, and so was everyone else. That's the end of Ranger Muffin and her sidekick PLuto. I hope you liked it.

Now here is what everyone is doing right now. Right now everyone is on Moodle or they are working on their map. They are doing their work, and trying to get a lot of stuff done, because they map is due today, and the math HW (Homework) is due tomorrow. Mr. Roemer is doing his work, and everyone else is doing theirs. Some people are working on the writing for a letter to the next Polar Bears, telling them what to turn in, and how not to get in trouble. One way not to get into trouble is to do your homework, and try your best. Also raise your hand for something important, not for something that's not important. Also one other way not to get in trouble is to listen, and be kind to Mr. Roemer. If you are good to Mr. Roemer he will treat you with respect. If you don't turn in your homework you have to eat in the cafeteria, and you can't talk to anyone, not even the people who are at your table or else you will get into more trouble. That's all that people are doing right now. In the next paragraph I am going to type a poem. Wait, I am not going to type up a poem, I am going to get some of my work.

I am back, and we are all working great. The time is going by so quickly, and we are going to go to P.E. soon. Since we are going to leave in about ten minutes, I am just going to say bye now. Bye, bye, bye! We will see you when we get back. Bye! We are back, and we are going to have a lesson now. We are going to the carpet with our math worksheet, a pencil, and a paper. We probably are going to talk about the math, and ask if we need help on any of the questions. As you know right now we are doing a math lesson, but I am going to tell you what we did at P.E. First we got into grouos, and then went to our side. After that we began to come loud to where we couldn't hear the P.E coach's. After that we still were loud and then had to sit down until everyone was quite. Finally we were all quite, and then we played. Opps forgot to tell you what we played. We played target ball. It were you have a flat football in the middle, and then we throw the ball to the middle, and try, try to get the football to the side acrossed from you. That's all that we did at P.E today. In the next paragraph I am going to tell you about the math that we are doing for HW today. It has to be turned into the classroom tomorrow.

O.K as you know I am going to tell you about the math that we are doing. It's like the one we've been doing all year, just we have 2 to the third power and all of this other stuff. Also we are adding fractions like 1 and 1/2, and 3 and 3/4, and other stuff like that. We are also going to be subtracting fractions. A whole number, and a fraction. That's all that we are doing for the math today. I hope you had a great time. We have to go do the math. Bye! Bye! Bye! We are back, and now we are going to go work on our math, and our maps. I am going to go work on my map, but I will be back in a little bit. Maybe five minutes. We are back, and now we have to stack and pack. We will see you tomorrow. Bye, bye, bye! The Polar Bears

Good morning, everyone! Today is Wednesday, and you know what that means! It means that you have to feed the chickens today. NO! It doesn't mean that. It means that today is the skating party. Yay! Mr. Roemer finally figured out if you can bring skates, and he said yes. Also, Mr. Roemer has rules for the skating party too. Actually, it is more like a main rule. Everyone who is going already paid the 8.00, and that covers your rental skates, and lunch. Which is a hot dog, and a soda, or a pizza and a soda, Mr. Roemer doesn't know. Well, I got to go help with something, bye! I'm back and I am going to tell you that we are going to have a short log today. The only reason we are going to the skating party today is because we couldn't go to Tallahassee, because all of the male chaperone's dropped, and then we needed 8 more in three days, but we couldn't get any male chaperone's to chaperon. At least skating is fun too, and it's something we can all do together.

Now here is Ranger Muffin and her sidekick PLuto. Today Ranger Muffin and PLuto are going to go a skating party, until PLuto couldn't find her skates. Ranger Muffin helped her look, but just couldn't find them. Ranger Muffin had her skates on, and PLuto found a pair of skates, but they were just to big for her small feet. Right when they were getting ready to leave PLuto had saw that the skates on Ranger Muffin's feet looked to small for her. PLuto told Ranger Muffin to take off her skates, and try these one on. Ranger Muffin did, and sure thing the skates on Ranger Muffin's feet were PLuto skates. They had found each other skates, and finally went to the skating party. The skating party was for how good they worked, and how much they helped out. When they got there everyone celebrated, and said "I'm so glad to see you." They got pizza and a soda, then skated for awhile. PLuto fell sometimes, and so did Ranger Muffin, but every-time one of them fell they helped each other back on their feet. Thats the end of Ranger Muffin and her sidekick PLuto. I hoped you liked it. It goes with the day we are having now. Because we are going to a skating party today.

Ohh, wait now people are bringing in their goodies for Fort Desoto. They are only bringing the waters, and coolers for now, because we have to keep the cold sruff cold, and then people turn them in the day befor we go to Fort Desoto. A lot of people are going to have a lot of fun. They will have fun if they listen and do everything Mr. Roemer ask them too. Right now people are on Moodle doing their work trying to get it done, so they won't have to do it later. The only HW (Homework) people have to turn in today is math worksheet. Everyone is just about here, and they are on Moodle. Some people are helping pack the coolers. We are listening to music. As you know some people were helping packing coolers, but I am also going to tell you that someone was also labling. People are still on Moodle, and they are getting their work done. They are on task, and just waiting to go to music. Well, in the next paragraph I am going to tell you what people can do at skating party today, and what they can't do. Nevermind I am going to do a poem.

Rain, Rain, Rain,
What is rain,
Does anyone really know
I know that it's H20,
But does anyone really know,

Sometimes it rains hard,
Sometimes it rains light,

But I hate the thunder ,
That comes with it.

That was a great poem that was written by me (Cocohottie). The first bell has rung, and now our school day has begun, and we have to say the Pledge Of Allegiance. Today I was chosen to say the pledge , and I did a pretty darn dandy job of it. Most people are on Moodle is on right now, and people are watching the announcements, and now it is over. So we are going to go to the multipurpose room to practice. Bye!

Here are the skating party rules:

No gossiping in the bathrooms (Main Rule, the big one)
No running
Be cool on the bus
Sit where you sat on the way there
Be good the bus driver

It is also time to go to music. Don't miss us too much. We are back from music, and Iam going to tell you that we played two games. The first game we played was instrument bingo. The two teams tied, and we didn't get to play the second game. But right now people are on Moodle, doing their work, and doing a great job. Some people just came back, and they are looking for the big picture on Moodle, and if they find it they get three m&m's. But if you get three of the same kind of m&m's you get three more. Thats what happens, and when you follow directions. Well, as you know people are on Moddle, and they are doing their work, but also we are going to be doing a math lesson in a few minutes. There is one thing I want to tell you, and thats that we are going to be going to the skating party in like 25-30 minutes. We are only going to be on Moodle for 15 minutes. The only reason we are going to go over the math is because some people don't understand it, and also because some people need help, and also because some people need a lot of help.

O.K, heres a story. It's called "Duh Big Red Truck." One day a lady, and her husband, were at their house. They were just sitting there watching T.V. But then a fire came upon, and they called the firemen. The firemen asked, "How do we get there?" The old lady said "Duh Big Red Truck." When the lady said that the firemen was like "what, what is she talking about?" But then the firemen asked, the adress how do we get tp your house. But the lady said again "Duh Big Red Truck!" The old man was just sitting there watching the firemen, and his wife agreu back, and forth. It went on and on. Now do you get it the firemen was asking the lady how to get to her house, but she kept on saying "Duh Big Red Truck."

O.k, some people are doing locks for lockers, and some people are on Moodle, so they can get their work done, and ohh, wait, it is now time for the math lesson. Well, it's time for the math lesson, and after that it will be time to go to the skating party. Someone will type up the log after school. I hope you have a great time while we at the skating party, but when we are done, and finished with the skating party, I thnk Spfana or Kid might finish the log. And Spfana or Kid will tell all about what happened, and who had fun, what was it like, and all kinds of stuff like that. Again like I said "I hope you have a great time while were at the skating party." Bye! Bye! Bye! We are back from, the skating party, and we have to go home now, but no fear, kid is here. Mr. Roemer told me I was allowed to do some more of the log, so here I am. I don't know what to tell you, because we are out of school, but I guess I can talk to you about the skating party.

The skat8ing party was awasome. Right when we got on the bus, something already was wrong. There was only one bus, so the next three classes had to wait for the other bus. They finally got here after a while. Then hen we all came into the place, they gave us these tickets sasying "Free Popcorn", and "Free drink and Pizza". So we were lucky. You would be even more lucky if you brung your own money, because there is so much to do there. You can go at the goodie station, and they have all these goodies there. Then you can go over to the arcade, and they have a lot of games there. If you don't want to do any of that, you can just go skating. This time, they didn't have races, but there was something else. There were those jumpy things, where you jump inside of them. There was that, but there was another jumpy thingy, and you could race in that one. Then when you started getting hungry, you could go over to the consession stand, and buuy some food. They have the best food there too. They have churro's, pretzel sticks, icee pops, and even candy. So I was full, and I was ready to go, but there was one last thing. The Party Panda, and his little helpers! Everyone on the skating floor, goes in a circle, and they yell Party Panda! Then the Party Panda comes out, and if you say that's what it's all about, then he gives you balloons. It was the best their, when we got home, the bus was a little bumpy, but it was okay.

Now I am going to write a little story. It is called "The Night It Rained". There once was a boy, and he had to walk home in the rain. Then this man asked the boy if he wanted a ride. The boy said yes, because he does not want to get wet, even though he is. The man gave him a sweater to dry up. It took only a few minutes to get to his house. Then the man just told the boy to give the sweater back later. After a few days, when it atopped raining. The boy finally found the man's house, and he knocked on the door. The man's sister answered. The boy told her about how the man gave the sweater to him, and all, but the man's sister said the man has been dead for a long long time. He got hit when he was driving his car, and died. He is buried at the Boney Graveyard. The boy thought that the man was alive, but it was a ghost he was driving with!

Practice

Good morning, everyone. Did you have a great time at the Skating Party yesterday? Today we are going to have a long mime troop practice today. The only reason we are going to have a long mime troop practice is, because we only have three weeks to get ready, and we are going to Fort Desoto next Wednesday, and that's why. Mr. Roemer told people yesterday to bring a water, because it's going to get hot, and you are going to be sweaty. Also when you are behind the curtains, you have to keep your feet quite, and you can't talk, because people don't want you to talk while their doing there act. One more rule when you are behind the curtain, you can't TOUCH the CURTAIN! Because if that curtain is moving people are going to say wow, that act is bad. A lot of people are going to be in the talent show, and they are going to show off their act to other people so that they see another talent in them not just the one talent that is in them now. That's all I have to say right now, but I am going to go to my work. Bye! I will tune back in with you in a few minutes.

Now here is Ranger Muffin and PLuto. Today, Ranger Muffin lost her very own spongebob. It was her favorite stuffed animal, and today she was holding it, and playing with it and all, but then she had to go get a drink for spongebob. When she came back, spongebob was torn in pieces. Ranger Muffin thought, and thought, and maybe this wasn't her spongebob, maybe this was a replica, and someone stole the real one. This was time for a detective hunt. Ranger Muffin got PLuto, and they were on their way looking for spongebob. They looked and looked, and looked, but they could not find spongebob. Then they finally knew a place. It is called stuffed animals store. They steal stuffed animals, and sell them. They went over there, and there was spongebob hanging on a wall. They put the crooks in jail, and they even shut down there store. Ranger Muffin and PLuto gave every stuffed animal back to everyone, and even Ranger Muffin got hers too. Ranger Muffin, PLuto, Spongebob, and the crooks lived happily ever after! Maybe not the crooks, though.

Now there are only a few people here right now, and when I say a few, I mean exactly that. There are only about six kids here, but some kids are starting to come in now. We are listening to music, and some people are helping Mr. Roemer. Well one person is. Everyone is working on the Polar Bear mix math HW (homework). The first bell is going to ring in about five minutes, and then the second bell will. Still there are only a few people here. But some people are still coming in one by one. The first bell is about to ring, and then the attendance people are going to take attendance. We are done with attendance, and I am going to tell you that we are now watching the morning news. They are talking about the skating party that we went to yesterday. Now the morning announcements are over, and I am going to tell you that we are going to be on Moodle. Also we are going to be going to mime troop practice in a few minutes. Some people brought waters, and some people brought a different kind of drink to drink. Also some people didn't bring anything.

We are now going to go to the multipurpose room to practice. People are going to be sweaty, and out of energy. Also we are going to be practicing, and practicing, until we can't practice, anymore. We are going to be doing washing windows, trash can, domino's. We are also going to be doing whats it called the macarena, thats the big one we need to work on. We need to be funny, and we have to make the Kindergarteners laugh. We are now going to practice. Bye! Bye! Bye! I hope you don't miss us to much. Bye! We are back from practice. We are back from practice early, because we didn't do so well in the multipurpose room. But for right now I am going to tell you what people are doing. Right now we are on the floor doing Social Studies in the yellow or golden books. In the next paragraph I am going to tell you what we are doing, and what page we are on. Also where we are going to stop.

The first main topic is The Nixon Years. The main idea of this paragraph is: In 1968, Richard Nixon was elected president. He focused on world events for much of his presidency. He was making the biggest success improvement in the United States' relations with the two largest communist countries: China and the Soviet Union.
The second main topic is The Oil Crisis. The main idea of this paragraph is: Not all international relationships went well during Nixon's presidency. The year 1973, a war started in the Middle East.
The third main topic is Nixon's Resigns. The main topic of this paragraph is: In 1972, Nixon, a Republican, ran for election. But then some people working for his re-election broke into the Democratic Party's officers in the Watergate buildings in Washington, D.C.

We are finished with Social Studies, but now we have to answer numbers 1-6. The only reason we are doing Social Studies is because we did bad in the multipurpose room, and nobody spoke up when Mr. Roemer asked if they were talking so they could go sit down, and we could try it again. I think kid, dc the dj, and I are going to do the questions on the log, and answer them. We are not going to answer the questions. We are going to tell you the questions, and see if you can answer them. O.k here are the questions.

People might take a long time on this, but at least they might get a good grade if they read it all, and try their best. The best thing to do on a test is to not rush through it, and try as hard as you can. It might not be hard to you, but it might be hard to some other people. I hope when all you forth grades that come to fifth grade try your best, and never give up. Try and get FCAT scores, and think of yourself being the only one in the classroom, and thats I have to say. Dc the dj is now going to take over and type some of the log. She might do a story or tell you something that I haven't told you yet. Now I am going to go put the picture in, but I will be back in a little bit. I hope you liked the poem. Now the class is very quiet, and we are all getting our work done. Some people are working on the math together, and they are talking quietly, so they don't disrupt the other kids. When the people are done with the Social Studies, and the math, they are probably going to go on Moodle. When they go on Moodle, they have to finish up the stuff that they haven't finished yet. Like they need to study the spelling fifty states, their Dear New PB writing, and a few others. I am going to go get some of my work done. But I will be back when I am done. Bye! I am back, and I am going to tell you what I think we are doing. I think we are going to do poems, and make them stand out. Right now Mr. Roemer is reading a book about poems. The poems are good, and one of the poems are talking about a sky scraper. In the next paragraph I am going to talk about poems, and tell you how they come alive.

It's now 10:30, and in 30 more minutes we are going to go to lunch. The poems are good, and in a few minutes Mr. Roemer is going to send us back to our seats so we can work on poems. On Moodle there is a spot in Writing/Langauge. It says PUT YOUR POEMS HERE! I am going to go do my poems. Bye! Bye! Bye! I am back, and we are going to go to lunch in about twenty-five minutes. We are working on our poems, and we were told how to do it. Mr. Roemer read a few poems out of a book, and it gave us some ideas. Dc the Dj and Let go of my Eggo were packing up some more of the dog room right before we went to the carpet to listen the poems. They packed some books, and they had to sort them out. They had to put them in different boxes. One is Mr. Roemers, one goes to the teachers that are organizing the books, and one goes to another place that I don't know what is called. Now it is time to go to lunch, but we will see you when we get back. Bye, bye, bye!

We are back from lunch, and I am going to tell you that we all had a great time. This is what we had from lunch today. Today we had breakfast for lunch, lasagnia, and this one sandwhich thing. We listened to moosic, and everything else. It is 11:45, and we are going to go to P.E, but that's later. Mr. Roemer is doing his work, and everyone else is doing theirs. People are on Moodle, and they are either doing their math HW or they are working on their poems about something that's non living that becomes alive. Right now we are listening to "Hey There Dalihla." Some people say the poems are hard and some people say there not. We have some people in Mrs. DaVole. We have three kids. They went to lunch with us, and they are going to go to P.E. They are going to be dismissed from our class, and they better go when their bus is up or else Mr. Roemer is going to get mad, and be upset. Some people have to owe Mr. Roemer time out at P.E, because they were talking when it was time to get cleaned up to go to lunch, and come back to eat.

Now I am going to tell you a poem that M&ms wrote in her poems that we had to do today. It is called "Softball." It goes like this:

It is about twelve, and we are going to go to P.E. in about twenty minutes. I don't know what we are going to do at P.E, but when I find out, I will tell you. I can't tell you now, but I will tell you when we get back. We are not leaving yet, but we will be leaving soon. Everyone is working good, and they are getting most of their work done. We don't have time for a long story, well we don't have time for a story at all. But that is okay. We are just going to talk about what we are doing. We are working on all kinds of things. We are working on the Social Studies, the math, the poetry, or on the Dear New PB journal. Some people may be doing something different like studing the spelling words. Cramming for Talent Show!

Good morning, everyone how was your day yesterday? Well, today I am going to start you off with what we are playing at P.E today. Today we are playing tug-of-war, and we are going to use our skills. Laoboy is doing the chairs, and Spfana is not here yet. We are listening to Mr. Roemer's old time music, or shall we say moosic. Spfana just got here, and I am going to tell you when she gets settled in, and has her stuff ready, Mr. Roemer is going to have to tell her to finish the math, because she was grading them, and then ran out of time yesterday. Now we are listening to our music. It's called "Brass Monkey," it goes something like this, Brass Monkey, that Funky Monkey. People are doing there work, and people are walking in. I am going to go, and do my work. Bye! I am back, and now everyone is coming in. We have more people now than we did yesterday. We are all going on Moodle, or we are working on the math paper. In the next paragraph I am going to write another Ranger Muffin and her sidekick PLuto story.

One day, while Ranger Muffin and PLuto were walking down the street, they saw this store called the "Pet Store." They had always wanted a kitty, and they figured that they had enough money to buy one. The kitty they bought was black, gray and white. They named him Rascal. They named him Rascal because he was playful, and a great kitty to play with. He also got in trouble a lot. Rascal was only one week old, and that's all. He was as small as a hand. Rascal wasn't like the other cats, he was the smallest kitten there, and he was diffeent colors from all of the others. That's why Ranger Muffin and PLuto bought him. They had only enough to buy one kitten, so PLuto said "When I get enough money I am going to buy a kitten too. Rascal was the best thing that ever happened to there house. PLuto was happy that Ranger Muffin put her thought into getting a cat, and she did. PLuto thanked Ranger Muffin, and thanked her. Ranger Muffin said "Your welcome," PLuto. That's the end of Ranger Muffin and her sidekick PLuto. I hope you liked it.

Now we are listening to the morning annoucements. The morning annoucements are over, and I am going to tell you that Bobo Belinski got student of the week. They are doing G&D, Growth and Development on the floor, and they are doing great. Some people are having giggle moments, and other people are just wondering what this stuff is. Thats all that people did on the floor. They are now getting sent back to their seats so they can do their 50 states, and capitals test. Dc the dj is going to take over, and type while I am taking my test, and everything else. I think I know all of the states, and their capitals, but I am going to tall you that some people might have a hard time, and some people might not have a hard time, but thats O.K. Now they are talking about Fort Desoto, and what we need. We need to have everything by Tiesday when we come back to school. They only reason we need them on Tuesday is, because we are not going to be in school on Monday. We are not going to be in school on Monday, because it's memorial day, and some people might be doing something, or might be doing something special. Well, thats all that we need to talk right now about.

I am going to tell you that some people are on the computers, and I am also going to tell you that we are going to have a long, long mime troop practice. Some people brought water for them to have behind the curtians, and some people didn't but thats not our responsibilty thats theirs. Thats all that I am going to talk about. Now dc the dj is going to take over. Bye! Hi I am dc the dj, and I am going to tell you what we are doing. We are do math on the carpet, and we are going to be done in just a little bit. We are going to go to mime troupe practice in less than an hour. We are going to stay there for a long time, because the talent show is next Friday, and we need to practice. We won't really have much time next week, because we are off next Monday, we are going to Fort Desoto next Wednesday, so we are booked for the next couple of days. We are done on the carpet, and we are going to work on Moodle, and we are going to take the spelling test. We are all working hard, and there are a couple people packing. I have to go pack too. But I will be back when I am done.

I am back, and we are about to go to mime troupe practice, but we are not leaving quite yet. We are going to leave in about ten minutes. We are all going to our seats, and we are going to get ready to leave. We are putting our laptops away, and we are going to our seats. But the people who are on the wall computers, they are going to stay on the computers. Since we are leaving so soon, I am just going to say good-bye now. We are back from lunch. Spfana and Cocohottie were just teaching each other their dances, and then we had to go sit down and do our math. So now if you are finishing up with your math, you are supposed to go on Moodle, and take the 50 capitals test, if you are not finished with that. Then when you are finished with all that, you just go on Moodle and review some things, or read. You have to wait till P.E to do something else. We are going to the carpet to do some math, and I have to go down there too. I will see you when I get back. I am back, and I just found out that we are having P.E. inside due to lightning, thunder, and rain. So that means that we are not going to have tug-of-war today. We are all sad now. We are going back to our seats, and we are going to work on the math worksheet. Since it is really bad here, and there is a lot of thunder and lightning, I might not write much. Sorry, but I am going to write now. Right now it is raining, and we are still really sad that tug-of-war was cancled. We are going to play next week on Tuesday.

Now everyone is just going on Moodle, because they proabbly should be finished with their math. Also, the talent show people are about to go rehearse. P.E. is going to be held insoide the portable, because it is ranining. We really don't have P.E. inside, we really just have activity time. Well, uh oh, I have to go reahearse for the talent show, bye! While the kids are at the talent show practice, I am going to tell you what we are doing. We are have activity time, and we are going to do this for the whole P.E. time. Some people are playing with dominos, some are building towers, we are all doing different things. That has to be the end of the log, because we had tornado warnings and had to evacuate the portable. There were no tornadoes near us, but the Polar Bears did very well at evacuating and following the tornado drill rules. We never did get to go back to the portable today. Almost ready for the beach trip!

Good morning, everyone! Today is Tuesday. The day before the beach, and one of the students birthday's! Yay! Actually, it is Spfana's birthday today. Also today, this is the day that we have to be all packed up, because tomrrrow is the beach! Today we have a math worksheet, if you finsihed everything. Then we have the PB Weekly, and the a paper for the the beach rules, so you know what not to do at the beach! We even go to art today. We go to art because today is Tuesday. We are not going to music tomorrow because Wednesday we are going to the beach, and we are going to have lots of fun. Today all we have to turn in is the beach goodies, and the grade sheet. When we get back from art later, we will tell you what we did, and what color we got. I hope we get a purple. Well,that is all for now Polar Bears, I will tune in with you later.

Now here is Ranger Muffin and her sidekick PLuto. Today, PLuto lost her very own anklet! She was just running in the rain, and then all of a sudden, when she went in her house the anklet was off her ankle! PLuto even tried retracing her steps, and she still couldn't find it. She was freaking out, because that was her mom's anklet, and her mom is dead now! She needs to find that anklet, and quick. So now it was time for a Ranger Muffin and her siddekick PLuto's hunt. They kept retracing their route, but they could not find it. They wondered if it was at the store that they were at before it started to rain. They went to the store, and they asked the people there if they had seen an anklet. The anklet had a heart on it. They said "no." PLuto was sad. She continued to look around. She kept looking. She asked everyone who came near her, and they all said "no." They were about to give up for the day, because it was getting dark. She felt terrible since it was the only thing that she had left of her mother. They put their hands in their pockets, and then PLuto felt something. She pulled her hand out of her pocket, and there it was. Her anklet. Then she remembered. She put it in her pocket before she ran home, so it wouldn't come off. Ranger Muffin was kind of upset with here, because they went through so much work. But Ranger Muffin was also happy that PLuto found her mom's anklet.

We just finished saying the pledge and it was really weird. Yep we had Jimmy Hendricks to come in and play the Star Spangled Banner for us, and boy was it awsome. Well you know it was Jimmy Hendricks. Well, he didn't actually come in, but Mr. Roemer made a video, and Jimmy Hendricks played the Star Spangled Banner on the guitar. The video had pictures of everyone who said the pledge through-out the year. Now we are going to watch something. Be right back! I am back, and now a special guest came in today. Her name is Mexichick. She is standing on Texas, and we are asking her questions. When she is done, we are either going to work on our math, or we are going to go to art. Well, when I find out I will tell you.

I can not believe that MexiChick is here, she is one of my very good friends, and she was in the talent show with me last year, and she has grown a little but she is still short like I remember her. We are getting ready for Fort Desoto. Some people did not bring in their Fort Desoto things but it is okay because we are going to figure it out one way or another. Right now we are going thru the food that was brought in and stuff, and we just counted how many hot dog buns we had and we only have 32 or 34 buns, and we need 60 buns, so if you have a way that you can bring in a 8 pack of buns tomorrow and they are cool that would be great but only one pack each. Most importantly though is the water and soda for the trip. I do not know how many packs of soda we have but I think that it is enough for all of us. I bought in caprisuns instead of soda, because my mom thought that since we are going to be walking around and stuff that we should have water or a drink with a lot of water in it so she got caprisuns instead.

Now we are going to be going over the rules for Fort Desoto, and Mr. Roemer is going up to the front to tell us the Fort Desoto rules. Their is a list of the rules on line. So if you would like to see them then you should look at them while you are reading this. Now he is telling us a story about a parent who had not followed Mr. Roemer's rules and legally by law you have to but we don't think that we will have a problem with that this year. Since we are bored with the rules (just kidding with you we are done reading them and fully understand the consequences of us not following them) we are going down to the carpet for about 5 minutes to go over the math until it is time to go to music, wait sorry my brain went hay wire, we are going to Art. Seeya laters alligators.

We are back from Art. Now we are just doing Moodle, but you have to review the Mangrove materials. When you are all finshed with that, you can watch the video's that Mr. Roemer made. When you are finished with that, then you should do your math, because it is due today. M&m's and Dc the dj are just helping Mr. Roemer with grades. Well, I am going to do my math now, I will update you later with more news. O.K we are back, and I am going to tell you that we are done with the msngroves, and people are on Moodle. They are studing on mangroves, because tomorrow we are going to the beack for our field education trip. We are going to have a great time, and we are all going to see what we will will see, and everything else. Mr. Roemer got his work done, and I am going to tell you that Mr. Roemer talked to all of the drives, and did everything else. Now we are going to sing Happy Birthday to Spfana because it's her Birthday. She says she is 11, and she says she doesn't have a boyfriend. Well, thats all that we are doing now. Everyone only has 10 minutes to get their work done, and everything.

Right this second everyone is doing number 17 because, Spfana said she might have found a mistake. She was right, and got a reward, she got 10 m&ms for her birthday from Mr. Roemer. Spfana is happy, and she was correct that there was a mistake. The time right now is 10:26, and Mr. Roemer said

Mr. Roemer is getting back to his work, and everyone is doing great. They have to read all of the mangrove information, and they have to take all of the test so they know what it's about. Mr. Roemer is going to send the kids down to the floor to ask them what do mangroves do to help the environment? Everyone should have the answers right, because they we're in groups of three, and they all read it to see what the improtant stuff was. Like the Black Mangrove is usually slightly more upland then the Red Mangrove, but the white mangrove is the highest upland mangrove out of all of the species. Mangroves also seperate fresh water from saltwater. These are some facts about the mangroves. Spfana and cocohottie are helping Mr. Roemer with his work, and the only reason they are helping is, because Mr. Roemer needs to get his work done, and dc the dj, m&ms, and kid have to make the log longer.

Right now everyone is on the floor, and now they have to get back into their groups, and see how Mangroves make erosion. Some people are doing the easy way they are looking or skimming through the book lit to see how mangroves make erosion. Mangroves make erosion depending on it's roots. Now some people are answering, but not many people. Cocohottie, and Spfana went down to the tech lab to change the talent show, shows. They did that, because someone was in the talent show three times in a row, for singing, chorus, and PB mime troupe. (Yes, I spelled troop right, it was just a fancy way to spell it.) Thats all that we are doing right now, but in the next paragraph I am going to do a story called "Duh Big Red Truck." It's one that we don't do often, but thats a good way to review what we haven't done in a long time. I am going to give you a short summary. It's about an old lady, named Sue, and an old man, named Bob. When I am done I will ask you if it was O.K, good, or excellant.

There once was an old lady named Sue, and there was a old man named Bob. They lived together, and then one day there house got on fire, because Bob made the microwave turn into flames. The house was on fire, and then then Sue called the fire department. She said my house is on fire, and I need someone to come down here to make the fire go down. The fire man asked "how do we get there?" Sue said, "Duh Big Red Truck." But then the fire man said " I know that, but how do we get to your house?" Again Sue said "Duh Big Red Truck." But then Bob said "No, Honey you have to tell them, the adress. So Sue told them the adress, and then the fire man said "Thank you." The the fire man got to her house as fast as he could. He came with back up, and a lot of water. Then Sue said "See you came in a Big Red Truck." I hope you liked the story, because this one was great.

The kids are on the floor. Mr. Roemer sent the kids back to their seats, because they are going to work on their math until it's time to go to lunch. Now Lmt is passing ut the name tags, which means that it is almost time to go to lunch. But we are not leaving yet. Now it is time to go to lunch, we will see you later. Bye, bye, bye! Today we won two games, and we lost only one game. We did really good. We pulled with all our heart, and we did great. We won, and we only lost against one team, but besides that we all did great, and pulled our best. We dug, when they said "DIG!." And we pulled when they said "PULL!" The people in the front were the people who yelled, and then everyone else kind of yelled it out too. Now the computer people are putting the computers away, and sleeping them. The patrols are going to the patrol party, and I don't know if we are going to have a brodcasting party. We are going to have stack and pack in a little bit. M&ms is helping Mr. Roemer with everything. Some kids are helping each other with the math. I think this is the last time that we are going to have tug-of-war, and now we are sad. This is our favorite game. It is time for stack and pack, but we will see you tomorrow. We are going to have the beach trip tomorrow, but Spfana is going to do it after school. Bye, bye, bye! Good morning, everyone! Today is Wednesday! Not only is it Wednesday, but today is the beach field trip! Spfana, strawberry, and karebarelover18 are helping pack up the coolers. We got ice from the cafeteria, and they are putting ice in the coolers. Well now they are cleaning the dog room. Mr. Roemer is just on the computer doing something. Today is going to be really fun. We are leaving right when the first bell rings, and Mr. Roemer said that the drivers have to be here at 7:30. He already read the rules yesterday, so we are really covered. All we have to do is finish packing up. Well, that's all for now Polar Bears, I will tune in with you later.

This is Ranger Muffin and PLuto. PLuto was floating on a raft while texting in her pool. Next thing you know Ranger Muffin pushes her off the float and her phone goes flying into the pool! Her phone is completely ruined! The moral is that she was pretty dumb, because who would even think about going in a pool while texting!?! Ranger Muffin said "I'm sorry, I didn't know you had your phone, and I didn't know you were textin." PLuto said "It's O.K, it wasn't your fault." Ranger Muffin said "I don't know how to get you a new phone?" Ranger Muffin and PLuito went out looking for new phones. They looked everyhwere, but they could not find any phones. Then PLuto thought about a place they could go. It is called Cell Phones Store. They went there, and they saw the most beatful phone ever, and it was only 3 Ranger Muffin and PLuto dollars. They brought the phone, and everything was finally going good. Ranger Muffin and PLuto lived happily ever after.

Hello everyone again , how did you enjoy that short story? Well anyway we are going thru the rules again, and Mr. Roemer is going crazy. The second bell has just rung and we are going to say the Pledge of Allegiance. I pledge allegianc e to the flag of the united states of the america and to the republic for which and stands one nation under god indevisible with liberty and justice for all. Okay bye everyone, we will see you laterz. We came back from Fort DeSoto. It was really good.

First we went on the swings, so we could wait for all the chaperones to get situated. After that, we got in the cars, and drove to the Mangrove Tour. That was really fun, because we got to see newmataphores, and we even got to see fiddler crabs. We saw hermit crabs, welk skin, and prop roots from red mangroves. Then we even got to see a baby horsehoe crab shell. Then we went back to the shelter. We ate some watermelon, and got to eat hot dogs, and chips, and all. Then we went over to the beach side, and we got to look at some mangroves, and all. So it was really fun. Then everyone got home, and we had to pack and stack, and now we are home. I know this is a very short log, but at least I got to tell you about it.

Before I go, I am going to weite a poem. It is about the beach. It is also called the Beach.

The waves swish through the air
Parents are sitting on their towels relaxing
While children are making sand castles
The segulls are singing while they fly,
and the pelicans swooping down to catch the fish,

The last Mime Troupe practice

Good morning, everyone! Did you students in Mr. Roemer's class have fun yesterday at the beach? We had a watermelon contest yesterday, and we also had a sand castle contest. But I am going to tell you the mangrove tour as awesome. We saw lots of white mangroves, some red mangroves, and few black mangroves. But right now I am going to tell you that we are going to practice for the talent show, and we are going to clean out our desk, (everything has to be gone.) There is one task that people have to do today, and that is write a friendly letter to their driver that drove them to the beach. The letter has to be done today, also the letter does not have to be in cursive, but it doe need to be good. Spfana is helping Mr. Roemer recycle, and not recycle papers. On the letter they need a heading, and the address, which I am not going to tell you.

Now here is Ranger Muffin and her sidekick PLuto. Today Ranger Muffin broke her camera! All she was doing was going through her pictures, and bam her camera crashed! She asked PLuto how this could happen, but PLuto didn't know how this could happen. Ranger Muffin said to PLuto "Why don't we go down to the store where we got it, and see what the problem is?" PLuto said "We don't need to do this, because there might not even be a problem." Ranger Muffin said "I agree with that, because there might not even be a big problem." But Ranger Muffin still went to the store where she got it, because she thought there was a big problem. Right when Ranger Muffin and PLuto got to the store they had to find the place. So when they got there Ranger Muffin said "I believe there is something wrong with my camera, because I was going through my camera, and bam, my camera went crash. The person looked at it, and said "The reason why your camera went crash, because your battery is dead, and you need to get new batteries." PLuto said "See all it was that you needed to have new batteries. I hope you liked the Ranger Muffin and her sidekick PLuto today.

Right now I am going to tell you that we can't watch morning announcements, because there's no Internet. So right now everyone is on the floor watching the 7 minute long video of the beach pictures. After the video they are going to get back to the friendly letter they have to write. After that Mr. Roemer will have a meeting sometime through this day, and we will have to do a shopping practice sheet from a long time ago. That means the worksheet we have to do should be easy for everyone. The only part on the math worksheet that Mr. Roemer is giving us will be the 5% sales tax, and everything like that. Well, everyone had fun yesterday, and a lot of people were tired when they got home. Mr. Roemer said her slept like he never slept before. Everyone else said they went to bed too, and went goodnight. Now they are talking about the watermelon contest, but I am going to tell you that Athletic one, but who cares. You got to eat watermelon, and you got to be dirty, that's all that matters. O.K, we just had a fire drill, and we were great, we didn't make a sound, and we did it right. The tech person is trying to fix the Internet, and yeah.

Now they are talking about the talent show. We have to wear baggy ugly clothes, because that what janitors wear, and a hat. You are going to get nervous the first time you are on stage, but when you fall you will get used to it, and you will have lots of fun. Right now we are not leaving we are talking about the fifth grade dance. They are allowed to dance with someone, and if they don't want to dance they don't have to. On graduation day some people will get awards, and some people won't, but everyone in Mr. Roemer's class is going to get an award. Some people will get funny awards, and some people will just get weird awards. They are still talking about the dance, and they are also talking about No school, school. Some people are allowed to go, and some people are not. I am going to tell you that we are now leaving. Wait parents are not allowed to go to the fifth grade graduation. Well, we are going to practice. Bye, we will see you when we get back. Don't miss us too much.

We are back from talent show practice, and I am going to tell you that we did great. We did what we had to do, and we did it. We did macarana, dominoes, stuck in the middle, curtain monster, and glass. The funny person was funny, and we just all did great. We did each act almost two times, and did them in order. Now everyone is doing the friendly letter, and I am going to tell you that some people might write thank you for taking your day off to come, and take us to the beach... you could probably been sleeping, or took the day off of work. Also thanks for spending your money to make sure you have gas to get there go to the mangrove tour, come back, and them leave to get back to the school. Mr. Roemer said "It needs to be a good letter, and a nice letter, because then your driver will be really happy, and thankful that you too your time of school to write them one. Everyone who is writing to Mr. Roemer has to give them to Mr. Roemer, and if it is not that good he will give it back to you to fix it, or re-write it, or something like that.

Now Mr. Roemer is having people pass out stuff that doesn't need to be with second grade. We are tossing stuff, and we are doing great. People are working on the stuff they need to work on, and Kid, dc the dj, and I are doing the log. The time right now is 9:32, and we still have a long time until we go to lunch, and doing anything else. Some people are raising there hand to get a Tallahassee book list that we were supposed to get when we go to Tallahassee, but were not going. End of that story in the next paragraph I will do comedy. The comedy is about a girl that has a glue stick, and boys who need to use one.

Tony, and Nick asked Emily if they could use a glue stick. Emily said "Let me go and look and see if we have any." Tony said "O.K." So Emily looked and she couldn't find one. She told Tony and Nick, and Nick said "Go look again." So she looked again and still couldn't find one. She said "She couldn't find one and said "Why don't you guys just use my glue stick?" They nothing said "Why didn't you tell us that before.?", and she said "I don't know?"

I hope you liked the comedy! Now people are getting books, and they are going to take one book, and a worksheet to the tech lab, because it's possible that we might have a tornado drill. Everyone has there name tags on, and they are working great. I don't know if we are going to duck and cover, but I know we might have to go to the tech lab. Some people are packing, and some people are passing out work books, and other kinds of stuff. Some people get to keep some stuff, and let go of my eggo is cleaning out Mr. Roemers desk. Let go of my eggo asked if anyone could help him, but only one person can do that job. Dc the dj is packing stuff from the draws, and she is doing a great job, all she is doing is making a mess, and trying to do everything, because Mr. Roemer wants everything to be almost packed. It's almost 10:00, but that still means we have an hour and 3 minutes till we go to lunch. If you know your time we go to lunch at 11:03, but we leave at 11:02. I hope whoever is getting books and papers have their backpack or else they are going to have to carry everything, and keep it with them.

Dc the dj is taking out the trash that has all of the recycling papers, because our recycling bin is full, and we can't fit anything else in it. A few kids are working on packing stuff, so a lot of kids are busy. Mr. Roemer is giving away books, and we are raising our hands if we want the book. I will be back in a little bit, because I might want a book too. I am back, and I am going to tell you that Mr. Roemer is going to his meeting. Mrs. Kalas is going to be our sub, until he gets back. So I am going to tell you that people are allowed to be working in there book list, until he gets back. When he gets back we will be doing the usual, just doing work, and getting stuff done. Dc the dj is checking to make sure all of the pens, and the markers work, and if they don't she is going to throw them away into the garbage can. Cocohottie is doing what she needs to do, and everyone else is getting to their work. They can either work in any kind of book they have to work in, and they have to be doing work. They can't just sit around, and if they do they will be in big trouble when Mr. Roemer gets back from the meeting. Mr. Roemer is not done giving out books, I think he is going to give away all the books he doesn't need for second grade or the books the second graders can't read.

People are packing and they are doing a great job. They are packing all of the glass cups, and stuff like that. We still don't know if we are going to have a tornado drill, but it is looking a little cloudy out there. Hats the PB weather today. Now dc the dj is going to type up a poem. The poem is going to be about soccer. I don't know what she is going to say in that poem, but as long as it is good we will stick with that. People are doing there work, and Theresa not much more to say, but I am going to tell you that we are going to play it by ear. Playing it by ear is like listening to music, and doing what flows. They are still packing and they are still doing great. They are being quite, and they are getting their work done. Abu when Dc the dj gets back she is going to type a poem, and do it all great. When she is done she is going to ask you if you liked it or if yo didn't like it. But usually all the poems Dc the dj writes are fantastic. So I think that the people who see this log will say her poem is great, and good. Now she is going to type the poem. But before that I am going to tell you that now they are going to pack the dog room.

I hope you liked the poem. Mr. Roemer is back from his meeting, and now I don't know what we are doing. We are probably going to pack some more, we are going to put stuff in the back of Mr. Roemer's car, and we are probably going to pass out more books. I was right, Mr. Roemer just said that he was going to pass out books in a little bit. We are passing out books now. We are going to go to lunch in about five minutes, so I have to go now. But don't worry, we will be back when in a little bit. Bye, bye, bye! We are going to lunch. Bye! Bye! Bye! We are back from lunch, and right now we are just listening to music. Two kids are taking the trays back to the lunch room, and they are also going to get the kids who had to eat in the lunch room. The kids are back, and the music is going to get off in a little bit. We are going to give away more books, but right now we are going to probably pack some more. In the next paragraph I am going to let m&ms type until it is time fro P.E. Well, it's 12:04, and we still have time before we go to P.E.

I am going to tell you that some people are going to be staying back from P.E, because they need to help Mr. Roemer pack, and everything else that needs to be done. I don't know what we are playing, but we might have free time or we might have something else. I am now going to tell you that Spfana is helping out Mr. Roemer, and dc the dj is sitting next to Kid and I. Ohh, wait I forgot to tell you that people can't go on computers, because the internet is down. Let go of my eggo, Laoboy, and dj.24baseball, are helping packing, and some people helped find second grade books. We need second grade books for second grade people. People are doing great with helping, and almost everyone is helping. We have a lot of second grade stuff, and we have a lot of sticky tack, because thats what Mr. Roemer uses a lot. Thats always the first thing he needs, for stuff to put down, and everything. He just said "Tick tack it the first thing I need when I go to a new classroom." Well, it's time to go to P.E. Bye! Backstage at the talent show

Good morning, everyone, today is talent show day! Us, the Polars Bears are going to be doing our act, and then other people are going to do their act. Theres no internet in the classroom, so we are not going to have much of a log today. The log is also not going to be so long because of the talent show. We are all going to look like janitors, and some people who don't have janitor clothes are just going to be in their regular clothes.

Mr. Roemer put baby powder in his hair to make it look like it's gray-ish-white. Some people are going to wear hats, and then the other people are going to be wearing bandanas in their back pockets. Not everyone is going to look the same. People are going to have janitor jeans on, and a T-shirt. Some people are going to change if they don't have their uniform on now. Some people might wear the hat backwards, sideways, and any other ways they can think of. It depends on what feels best to them, and how they want to wer it, not how other people want them to wear it.

People are coming in and they are all looking great. They are coming in their uniform, and some people are pre-pared, and some people are not. Most people have jeans on instead of the janitor type pants. Some people have regular shirts on, and some people have on janitor shirts. Jtrain740 has a janitor type shirt on that says Bobo, Polar Bears. That's funny. We are all going to do great, and we all might be nervous, but thats O.K because it's going to be the first time on stage in fron of everyone in the whole school. Also some parents are going to be here to see their child perform. People might laugh at us, but at least we're not afriad to be in the talent show, and not afriad to show them what we've got. I think we are all going to do great, and I also think we are going to do awesome. We are now going to do the talent show. Bye! Wish us luck.

We are back and the talent show is over, we are finished, and we did great. Mr. Roemer said "Did you hear how loud the kindergarden, and the first graders laughed?" Everyone said "Yeah." Just like what I wanted to do, but I couldn't, because everyone else had to finish what they needed to finish. We are back from lunch, and I am going to tell you that today we had meat & rice, pizza & corn, and other stuff to eat. We all had a good lunch, and so on, and on, we are going to be doing our math worksheet. Now people are doing their math, and Cocohottie is going to be going around seeing if everyone is on task, and if they arn't they are going to get in a lot of trouble by Mr. Roemer. People already took down trays, and they are already back, but I am going to tell you that we are all going to do great. Mr. Roemer is taking care of some people, but I am not going to explain what happened, because it's a long story, and because I shouldn't talk about in school. Everyone is doing great, and they are doing his work. Well, in the next paragraph I am going to type up a story, and the story is going to be about a girl who gets a dog, and then she has to giv the dog away to a person, but then she conviences her dad and mom to keep the dog. So she gets the dog.

Never mind, I'm not going writ a story. But I a going to write a poe. But not right now. I will do it later. Right now we are all doing our math, but w are goig to g to P.E. in a little bit. Mr. Roemer is talking to few kids outside. Let go of my Eggo, Laoboy, and Dj.24baseball are packing the dog room, and they might come back to the class for P.E. to pack more. Some kids are helping people with the math, and we are being quiet. The ESOL teacher is in here, and she is helping the kids that don't understand how to do the math. The kids that are helping pack, are almost done with everyhing. On June third, we are going to bring the stuff to Mr. Roemers new class. That is the day after we get out of school. There is no Internet in our classroom and during the next two days we'll be busy with parties, graduations, and awards. We'll try to post logs both days, but it will be in the afternoon after school. ~ Big PB

Good morning polar bears! Today is the second to last day of school! This year has gone by so fast. Today we have the practice for Graduation and the Fifth Grade Dance. I have no idea when we are going to do any of that, but it is sure going to be fun. Also, we have the last PB Weekly today. It is really short, all it really says is just about how Mr. Roemer thanks all the chaperones, and the PB's for doing a great job this year with helping. It also has the events for the last two days. Well, that's all for now Polar Bears, I will tune in with you later for more news.

Now here is Ranger Muffin and her sidekick PLuto. Today, PLuto lost her very own Diploma. She needs it for tomorrow, because tomorrow is college graduation. If she doesn't have her diploma, then she won't be able to go work somewhere, she has to stay in college for another thousand years. So PLuto really needs to fins that diploma, and soon. She got Ranger Muffin, and they went on their journey to fin the diploma. Ranger Muffin and PLuto looked, and looked, and looked, but they could not find the diploma. It was already 9:30, and Ranger Muffin and PLuto had to go to sleep, bt they still haven't found the diploma. They just said that they would find it in the morning. The woke up at 6:00, and started looking for it. They saw this lady that looked like she had the diploma. The lady looked like an old mean lady. Ranger Muffin and PLuto asked the lady if they could have the diploma back, but she said you would have to ay her 5 Ranger Muffin and PLuto dollars. 5 Ranger Muffin and PLuto dollars are like 50,000,000,000,000,000 in United States money. Though, Ranger Muffin and PLuto have a lot of Ranger Muffin and PLuto dollars, because they are Ranger Muffin and PLuto, so they gave the lady 5 Ranger Muffin and pLuto dollars, and the lady gave back the diploma. Ranger Muffin, PLuto, the lady, and the diploma lived happily ever after.

Now we have to go to the multi-purpose room, because we have to practice for the graduation the we have tomorrow. When we get back we will tell you what we did. We are back, and our class did great. First we had to make our way to the multi-purpose room. Then we had to wait for a while, and it got really boring. While we were waiting, Mr. Roemer told us a few rules, like we had to keep our hands by our sides. If you are not use to it, it gets really hard, and frustrating. Then we got to go in. A teacher told us what seat to sit at. There was four to bench. When we got to our bench seat, we did not sit down. We had to stand until everyone was at their seat. Then we had to say the pledge of allegiance. Once we were done with that, we got to sit down, and the Principal told each class to come up one by one to practice getting our diploma. We practiced going up the stairs, shaking the teachers hands, getting into the picture mode, and then going back to our seat. Then the music teacher called up all the chorus people to come up. They were going to sing a song. But when they started they didn't know all of the words. Some kids did, which was good. After that the principal called everyone to go up, and we sang the school song. Then we went down, by steps, and then we went to our classes. Once everyone was outside again, we had to go back in, and we did all of that over. Well, not everything. We went through it really quick. When we got back to our class we watched a video, and some people cried. The video was really sad.

Now we are going to go to lunch, but we will see you when we get back. Bye, bye, bye! Oh, and by the way, Mr. Roemer ordered pizza, so we get to have pizza. Yay! Hi everyone. We are back from lunch, and the pizza was very, very, extraordinary good. We are now going to take the boxes to room 10 (Mr. Roemer's new room), so we will see you later. We are back, and some people are hurting, because he boxes were heavy. We are having an early stack and pack, because we have to go to the dance in a little bit. I don't know if we will have time to tell you what we did there after the dance, but we will tell you tomorrow. When we get back from the dance we will have to go, so I am going to say good bye now. There is no Internet in our classroom. Today is the last day of school. We have awards and a CU party. We get out for good at 11:45 a.m. One of the PBs will post the log from home later tonight.

I'm moving to another grade level next year, so this site will become static (although this message board will remain open). The site will be kind of a huge digital yearbook for the fifth grade Polar Bears from 1997 until 2009. This really is the very last log entry. ~ Big PB

Hey guys, today is the last day of school! This year was really fun, but the class was really rough. We got through it, and that is all that matters. We had really fun, even though we didn't get to do everything. It was some of my best days in Mr. Roemer's class. To thank for all that, was Mr. Roemer, and I am really happy indeed, that I was in such a great class.

Today we went to graduation. It was really fun, because almost everyone got an award. There were awards for cheer-leading, chorus, if you got Principal's list, or perfect attendance, or even honor roll. There was a lot others too, so it was really easy to get an award. Then when you got the award, you would have to go to the side of the steps, and get your picture taken, even though that was so embarrassing. Then we just had to go sit down after that. We had a snack where we sat, and guess what it was? Cake. It was pretty good too. Then at the end, chorus came up, and sang a song called Graduation. I wonder why they sang that, lol. Then the whole fifth grade came up, and we sung the school song. Then we just all left.

When we got to our class, we got other awards, Such as the Polar Bear For Life Award, or silly awards, like shaving cream pie award, or the silliest laugh award, or a lot of other things. Then we also got some more awards, some like we got as for academics. Then we had a little secret that we can't tell you what we did. All I will say, was that we used something that was on a paper plate, but that doesn't really help. Also, we went on the carpet at the end of school, and we told good thins about everyone. That was really fun too. Don't tell anyone, but I was even crying a little bit. Then we all left. We couldn't say goodbye, because maybe Mr. Roemer will see them again, so they said CU instead. Then we all just left. Well, actually we hugged each other and everything, then we said CU!

The Polar Bears was a great family. They helped each other when they were in need. From how we were when we were in fourth and all, we are really behaved now. Some of the people in our class, I wouldn't think they would ever behave that well,l but they changed so much, just because of the Polar Bear life. When we did good all the time, we had fun too. So Mr.. Roemer, and the Polar Bears really helped us a lot. I bet kids don't have Bubblegum Day, or Teddy Bear day, I bet they don't even get to see how wonderful a class this is. Now this is our time to shine, we are sixth graders now, and we have to go on with our lives. So Ia m really proud to thank Mr. Roemer and all the Polar Bears for the great life we have had in the Polar Bears. I will miss you all guys, CU!
