Log, 2/1-2/12

The second grade PBs will try to keep a daily log of class events. I won't edit what they write (though there will be times I will really, really want to), except to protect privacy or feelings. Most of the pictures are taken by the students.

Morning pledge

Good morning we are doing our math. Their 10 kids in the class. We just did the plege. Now he asked boo2 and pikapika to take out their writing journal and bring it to Mr. Roemer. Now Mr. Roemer put on the annoucments. Now Mr. Roemer asked them to still ceep doing their math because some boys came in late. And only one is done. Now he asked them to go to the calendar. Now they are doing the coin's.

Now they are doing how many days have we benn in school. Now they are doing the clock. And they did 5 times 4. They talked about how was their weekend. Now they are talking about grand hoggies day.

Hi! The kids are at the rug doing a multiplication problem. Now the kids are going to their desks so that they can go to Moodle and do their first three sections on Moodle. They do not have to do spelling and reading, but they have to do everything else on Moodle.

Hi! The kids are at the rug watching BrainPOP. JR movies and right now they are going to their seat to do moodle for ten more minutes until music. Now the kids are doing a spelling bee. Now they are going to their desk to clean it out or to read. Hi! It is time to go to lunch. ADIOS!

Hi! The kids are reading with their partner and I just showed the kids the rocks I got in Dahlonega Georga. Now I think everyone is paired up now. Get it? They eat a lot of pairs! Mr. Roemer and Mr. Dare are walking around the room helping and observing some kids. And a whole lot of kids are walking around the classroom a whole lot. I think it will be about maybe a half-hour until book clubs.

Hearts for our heroes

Good morning we are doing our hw. All of the kids are not here. We are lisning to the announcements. They are telling us about the book of the month. And they just say the black history questions. Now Mr. Roemer say Them to go to the capet. They are talking about the question so we can get it right. Now they are going to the calendar. Now they are doing how many days have we been in school. We just played a game that we are close our eyes and then Mr. Roemer is going to pick a number and then we rise our hand.

We are going to the school library.

Hi! The kids just did multiplication arrays where they do multiplication and arrays at the same time. Now they are talking about their 'Hero'. And Mr. Roemer's hero is Albert Einstein. Now Mr. Roemer is teaching us how to make a heart. But first we have to go to moodle. We have to do our math first and then do our test on moodle then do our heart. My heart is about Sean Kingston because his music is really good and it just hits my heart so that it gets stuck in my head so that I will never forget him and his songs.

And today we have to go to p.e. I doing know were are we going to go in a class room or outside.Now we are back from p.e some kids got pop sikuls.Thay are reading some are eating when there reading a book. we are going to lunch.

Hi! The kids are back from lunch. And the principal (Mrs. U) read to us during lunch. Now they are at the carpet reading their reading book (The thick school kind) with Mr. Dare. It has been about ten minutes since they went down and they have still not started. Now I think they are gonna start in a minute. Now they started and it is called Wild Weather Hits Florida. It is talking about Hurricane Charley and how bad it was. Now they are reading a book called Super Storms and it talks about really bad storms. And I think that it talks about some of the worst storms. And it says that a lightning bolt is fifty-thousand degrees hot!

Hi! The kids are Back from book clubs. It is about a half-hour before we leave. So Very early AAADDDIIIOOOSSS!!!

Just right?

Good morning we can read or go on computers. After the calendar I think we are going on brian pop jr. And we have a assembly. It is going to be cold so we are going to bring a jacket to the assembly. And it is a short day today. We are going to the cafeteria for an assembly.

Hi! The kids are at the calendar. Now they are at the rug so they can do their whiteboard work on the whiteboard. Now they are doing arrays if I did not explain it I will explain later. Now it is time for book clubs.

Hi! The kids are back from book clubs. Now they are at their desk doing their Moodle work. There is a very long story on Moodle called Soon The North Wind Blew. There are a lot of tests on Moodle this week. Mr. Roemer is walking around the room awensering questions and observing kids on Moodle. Now the kids are at the rug watching the tv talking about regrouping on Moodle. Now the kids are at their desks doing more Moodle again. Now the kids are at the rug again. Up... Down... Up... Down... Now the kids are at their desks doing Moodle.

Today we are going to art. And i don't know what are we going to do in art. Now Mr. Roemer sayed to the kids to put their tops down and go to the carpet. Now Mr. Roemer is cheking out the teamprture.

Hi! the kids are back from art. Now they are at their seat doing their Moodle work. the class is completely quiet exept for my noisy, clattery, typing. It will be time for lunch in two minutes. Now it is time for lunch. Bye!

Now they should be doing their work on what their favorite pet or animal and they have to tell why and also they have to write riddles for our spelling words. so we have to explain what it is like we are the thing the spelling word is. Doing science

Good moring pbs we are doing are scholastic but it is a litle ciley you will need a jakit. Ther are not a lot a lot of kids here and Mr. Roemer has music on but son we are going to p.e. Now Mr. Roemer is clecding homework sone we are going to the calingdr.

Now we are lising to the school song and the ennansmins. But they are omost done with evey thing. Now they are at the calingder but they are doing times 5 times 2. Now they are doing the data they are doing the clock.

Now they went to the rug.

Hi! The kids are at their desks doing their Moodle work. If they do not have a computer they do their crossword work. Now everyone exept for the computer helpers which they give out computers and fix the errors that the kids get every once and a while. Now Mr. Roemer called some kids to the rug so that they could have a reading group so that they could get even better in reading. There is a ton of Moodle to do right now so everything they do has to be short. And for some reason there is not a whole lot of people on Moodle.

Hi! the kids just did a plant expiriment where they have to get scizzors, a magnifying glass, their science notebook, and a pencil. they have to pull up a plant and get their materials and get working. So if you would like you could get your scizzors and your uprooted plant and you could cut, observe, and write. We have to go to Book clubs. ALOHA!

Hi! Only a couple of kids have come back from book clubs. The class is starting to come back from book clubs. Now we are reading and working on the floor. Now they are wiping down desks and doing hw. Right now Smile is fixing the calendar for tomorrow. some kids are cleaning desks in case of forgotten stuff.

Hanging at P.E.

Good morning pbs it is the 100 day of school ther is only one kid here and Mr. Roemer has music on. And we are going on moldl and do some test three test.

Hi! All of the kids are here and they are at their desk doing their Moodle work. Now the kids are at the calendar. They are trying to do the date really quick. Now the kids went to the rug. Now they just watched a movie about Harriet Tubman. Now they are back at their desk doing a seaech on google. When I get to my seat I will have to look up Florida Panthers. Mrs. M came in earlier and everyone is very happy to see her.

Now the kids are at the rug with their reading book. Right now they are reading the books Mr. Dare read with the kids yesterday. I think that they were called wild weather hits florida and super storms? To Know, look at yesterday's Blog. They are learning about hurricanes and how bad storms can get. They are looking at a map that tells them about how many thunderstorms each state gets. I think that the east side gets the most because they are closest to Tornado alley. Now they are reading a book about snowy weather. Now the kids are at their desk going on Moodle.

We are back from p.e plus we are going to lunch.

Hi! The kids are back from lunch. Now Mr. Roemer is asking questions to the kids and they are science questions. Now the kids are at their seat reading a book. Mrs. M is going around taking notes on what the kids are reading. A lot of kids are reading on the floor or on the carpet even.but not laying down I hope becouse they can get head lice sometimes if they get lucky. Mr. Roemer is doing the same thing as Mrs. M. He is going around the room observing the kids and correcting them.

It's really raining. We have a tornado warning so we have to go. See you later! I hope you have a great weekend.

Detective Luginbill

Good morning! There are five kids in the class and another two just came in and there are two other kids in here. Now everyone is flooding in. At nine o'clock a detective coming in for something I do not know about. Now it is almost eight thirty. The first bell just rang. Now we are doing the pledge. Now the announcements are on. The second bell just rang.

Officer Luginbill is the detectives name but he likes to be called officer Mark. He tought about some things that he uses like a night stick and his taser and his guns and when he uses them and how he uses them. and he told us that he uses them on people who are breaking the law and on people who are making bad choices and he gave us a quiz on what would be an emergency and what would not be an emergency.

Hi! The kids are at their desks doing their moodle work. There is a thing on moodle where you have to put the spelling words in abc order. There are journals where they have to write which is their favorite holiday and the other journal is about what they think of the Super Bowl. Now the kids are in moodle. Now Mr. Roemer said that we are going to be 3rd grade so we are praticing. And today we are going to music. We are back from music next we are going to lunch. Now Mr. Roemer is asking questions because he is looking if we hade good memory. Now Mr. Roemer asked them to go to the carpet. Now they are playing conet jump.

Smile just past out name tages. We are going to lunch.

Hi! The kids are at the rug reading with Mr. Dare. They are not really reading and they are mostly talking about the book. There are fifth gaders in here filling our planter cartons with soil so that we could put grass seeds in the cartons and experiment with where the grass would grow best. They will grow the grass in a sunny spot inside.

At the public library

Good morning we are going to the publik librery. Now the kids are doing hw. And the hw is from yesterday. Now we are back from the public liberry. Now the kids are reading their books that we got and i think the other's are reading their dot book's. Now Mr. Dare said to the kids to go to the carpet. Now i think they are making senteses with Mr. Dare.

Now the kids are back at their seats doing a worksheet Mr. Dare gave them. They have to combine sentences on it. So, for example, I have fish. I have four of them. So then I have four fish. There are more! Guitar found a frog. It was slimy. YUCK! Guitar found a slimy frog. Autobot got a new bike. It is blue. He got a new blue bike. Pirate ate a sandwich for lunch. The sandwich was big. Pirate ate a BIG sandwich for lunch. Boo2 read a book. It was long. Boo2 read a long book. There are two more connected sentences. I will write them in the next paragraph.

Ok. I should continue. Bob kicked the ball. He kicked it hard. Bob kicked the ball hard. Last one. I picked up some rocks. The rocks are shiny. I picked up some shiny rocks. We have to go to p.e. soon in about twenty minutes. We are back from lunch. Now they are dancing. Now they are back plus am talking about the one's how took the trase for lunch. Now Mr. Roemer is asking them to go to the carpet and bring their reading book.

Now they are reading in their reading book and with partners. And with feeling. And i think that we were the first one that finished. Now they are putting them away. Now Mr. Roemer put some words on the board. They are saying the words. Now they are reading out of their dot level's, but by their selfes. With feeling to. And i think in 35 minutes we are going to book clubs plus i'm just estematying. Now we are going to book clubs.

The book club kids are doing moodle. Wrestler, Dboy, and Marlin. They have to do reading, but when they are finish they can do what they want to do. Now two more kids came in and now three more came in. Oh, the class is back from book clubs. It is very rainy outside and at the side of the sidewalk there is a little gully and it has overflowed and a little further up it is really overflowed. A lot of little plants have drowned and so have weeds. Hooray that weeds have died! Waaaa. Plants died. We have to stack and pack, play Polar bear chase and leave in our remaining time. So very early aloha!

Discovery

Good morning we are going to moodle. We are doing our reading. We just did the pledge. Now Mr. Roemer just put on the announcments. We are going to have a new student, but she is Not here yet.

Hi! Our new student is here. She is Izzy2. Now the kids are at their desks or on the computers surrounding me. I know the new student from another place but i cannot tell. Some people are playing Bar grapher, some are playing a plant game, others are playing word games or they are finishing their tests and readable things. In six minutes we are going to have to leave. Now the kids are going to go on shout. Now the kidxs are going to the rug with their reading book. Now they are going back to a book called Nutik, the wolf pup. I will continue abou this in the next paragraph.

Ok. Right now they are partner reading a part that they just finished in the book. It is about a pup named Nutik and a boy named Amaroq and his family. One day his sister julie brought home two wolf pups and one is Nutik and the other is Quaq. Now the kids are at their desks doing their moodle work until Art.

Ni Hao! That is hello in chinese. The kids are at the rug trying to figure out 18X18= i dunno. It will be hard to figure out. 18+18=36..... Ok it is time to go... ALOHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Planting seeds

Good morning we are do hearts in nature. Soon we are going to the calendar then we are going to watch brain pop jr or we going to do the Board. We are doing some times at the calendar. Now Mr. Roemer is posting grads.

Some kids are eating Breakfast write now. We are going to the calendar. After the calendar we are doing the math then we are doing brain pop jr. Bob And Dman just email Mrs. Mocola for the black history questions. Now Mr. Roemer is putting a video in brain pop about Rosa Parks. Now the video is finished. Now the kids are going to moodle. A lot of people are posting on journals or starting new journals. For some reason Everyone is playing games on Moodle. Now it is snack time.

Everyone who brought their snack already have them out and they are eating them and it seems like Mr. Roemer just said it is time for snack. Now the kids are at the rug with their reading book. They are still reading that Nutik the wolf pup book. They have been reading that book for three days. that book has a lot of feeling in it and it makes you think that you are actually in that scene. It is a very interesting story. Now the class is reading one page very quietly and so quietly that I cannot even hear them. Now they are reading with feeling and doing hand motions to the story and what the charactors are doing right then.

Now they are making their valentine's bags. And it is a little bit loud. Now Dman And Mr. Roemer are planting grass seeds. To make it, you get two sheets of paper. One set is pink and red, another is red and red, and the last is pink and pink. then they put their name on both sides of each paper, then they decorate it and then you staple it shut and then you put holes in it and you put a string through and then your valentine bag is done. We will have to go to book clubs very very soon. Right now they are getting holes and staples in their valentine bag.

Preparing for the party

Good morning everyone their are taking their tests on moodle. Now Mr. Roemer put on the annoucements. They just gave the black history questions. Now the are saying the student of the week. Now some are done with their tests. Now Mrs. Frey just give a annoucement. Now the kids are on Moodle doing their stuff like their tests and their games if they are done with their tests. There is not a lot going on right now. Just everyone is on their computers. A lot of things are going to be going on today. I will tell in the next paragraph.

Ok. We have Abraham Lincoln's birthday this month also, we have our valentines party. Mrs. M came in earlier too. I think the kids will be on moodle until ten thirty which is in three minutes. Now the kids are at the rug STILL reading the Nutik the wolf pup book. They are at the page after the page they stopped on yesterday. Now the kids are partner reading the part of the book that they just read. Now they are playing a game called crazy professor and the person who is crazy professor has to ask a question to his or her partner and the person who is not crazy professor has to awenser the question the crazy professor asked. Now the kids are at their desks or on one of the computers surrounding me on Moodle.

Hi! the kids are at their desks and they are back from p.e. Now they are at their desk or on the rug reading their dot level book. Mr. Roemer is in the back of the room preparing for the party.it will be about seven minutes before we leave. So VERY EARLY ALOHA!!!!

Today we are having a party after lunch. And some kids are helping them. Mr.Roemer is having so much fun he is gonna put a picture up after school. It is lunchtime. Now Mr. Roemer told them to clean up. And then we read. Now Mr. Roemer is posting in a picture. We got a lolepop ring. And some are eating it.

Hi! The kids are reading a book about Harriet Tubman. Now they finished it. Bob just showed his magnetic rock to the class. It will be time to leave soon. ALOHA!
