Week of May 21st

Happy rocket day!

Rocket day was a blast! All of the rockets blasted off, and it was just a ton of fun! We will try to have a second launch for those who were absent, but time is getting tight.

The big event this week is, of course, Tallahassee. It's hard to believe, but it's finally here! Tallahassee will dominate the week. Participating PBs have probably had up to here with all the messages sent home about the trip, but I'm still sending home one more reminder on Monday. Just make sure you show up on time! We're meeting in room 24 early on Tuesday morning. (Room 24 is the room closest to the library in the wing bordering the PE field.) The buses pull out at 6:00 a.m.

PBs who are not going on the trip will be in various classrooms on Tuesday and Wednesday. I have told each which room to report to. They do not have homework, but they should be studying their spelling.

Trip information is included on our trip blog. We will also be posting their blog entries live during our Tallahassee trip, even from the bus. I'll be posting our location every hour or so. The link to the live blog is included on the Tallahassee notes that have been coming home.

It is my expectation that PBs going on the trip come to school the day after. Heck, if I have to do it, I want everybody sharing in the tiredness. Besides, I think PBs will find that Thursday will be a fun, but low-key day, with plenty of PB Mime Troupe practice.

The other big event this week is our school's talent show, on Friday, the 25th at 1:00 in the multi-purpose room. The PBs play a big part in the show, and we have been practicing hard. PBs should dress like janitors with long pants and have a bandana if possible. I do have extra bandanas.
